The Really Wild Show Animal Magic presenter Terry Nutkins has died at age 66.

The father of eight died today. He was being treated for leukaemia.

The animal-obsessed presenter had a lot of friends in showbiz including kids TV presenter Phillip Schofield, who said "So sad to hear of the death of Terry Nutkins. I worked with him often in my 'broom cupboard' days."

The BBC reported: “Wildlife presenter Ben Fogle described Nutkins as one of his ‘childhood inspirations’, while comedian Ricky Gervais said he was a ‘thoroughly nice chap’".

John Miles, Nutkins’ agent highlighted his compassionate side upon hearing of his death. “He fought many causes to make sure animals were looked after, and the environment in general."

Fellow presenter Simon King added: “Terry was a fun, ebullient and enthusiastic naturalist"

The kid’s TV presenter was a natural, and has inspired generations throughout the country.
