Andre Villas-Boas is the new Tottenham Hotspur manager and will be presented next week.

The Portuguese has signed a three-year deal, will bring his backroom staff Jose Mario Rocha and Daniel Sousa to White Hart Lane.

The 34-year-old will now start luring new players to the club, with Iclenadic star Gylfi Sigurdsson expected to choose Spurs over Liverpool.

Spurs will splash out £70m on over the summer, although that will be partly offset by Luka Modric’s £35m departure to Real Madrid.

AVB may try negotiate a way for striker Real’s Gonzalo Higuain to be part of any deal involving Modric .

Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen is a long-term target, while Villas-Boas is also keen on Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge and Brazilian midfielder Oscar.
