Johnny Depp's split from Vanessa Paradis to cost him £100m, amid rumours of relationship with Amber Heard

Johnny Depp looks set to pay former spouse Vanessa Paradis £100 million despite having never married the French singer.

The Sun is reporting that Depp, who is worth more than £200 million, is doing so in order to keep the couple's split amicable.

The couple's impressive property portfolio, including a mansion and a flat in Los Angeles, an Italian villa, and a house in the south of French, will be split between them.

News of Depp's probable payout comes amid rumours of a burgeoning relationship with the American actress Amber Heard.

The 26-year-old beauty met Depp whilst filming The Rum Dairies, and has been a 'regular visitor' to the set of Depp's latest film The Lone Ranger, according to the Daily Mail.

Heard and Depp were reported to have been on a trip to Vegas together earlier in the year.
